US Senate

The US Senator seat is elected every six years and works to enact federal laws and budgets through the US Senate. The US Senate works with the US House of Representatives to form the US Congress, which is the nation’s legislative body. Their responsibilities include passing bills on public policy issues, raising and lowering taxes, and confirming the President’s appointments.

Like all federal elected offices, the US Senator race is partisan. This means that each candidate has their party affiliation listed alongside their name on the ballot. Independent candidates will be stated as having no party affiliation.
