Lucas County Court of Common Pleas Judge (Domestic Relations)

The Lucas County Court of Common Pleas Judge (Domestic Relations) is elected every six years and presides over the county’s domestic relations proceedings. Their responsibilities include hearing all proceedings involving divorce, marriage dissolution, marriage annulment, legal separation, spousal support, allocation of parental rights, and setting responsibilities for the care of children.

Like all judicial offices, the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas Judge race is non-partisan. This means that even though a candidate may be endorsed and supported by a political party, the party name will not be stated on the ballot.
