Lucas County Court of Common Pleas Judge (Juvenile)

The Lucas County Court of Common Pleas Judge (Juvenile) is elected every six years and presides over cases involving persons under 18 years of age. Their responsibilities include hearing cases involving unruly, dependent, and neglected children, and holding jurisdiction in adult cases involving paternity, child abuse, nonsupport, contributing to the delinquency of minors, and failure to send children to school.

Like all judicial offices, the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas Judge race is non-partisan. This means that even though a candidate may be endorsed and supported by a political party, the party name will not be stated on the ballot.
