The Ohio Court of Appeals Judge is elected every six years and presides over appeal cases from the common pleas, municipal, and county courts. Their responsibilities include hearing appeals to decisions by the lower courts, releasing persons who are unlawfully imprisoned, ordering public officials to perform required acts, and ordering lower courts to cease unlawful acts.
