The Ohio State Board of Education (District 2) seat is elected every four years and manages the state’s public K-12 education system. Their responsibilities include appointing the state superintendent, developing public education policy and goals, implementing educational programs, and establishing operational and financial standards for schools.
Unique among state-wide offices, the Ohio State Board of Education (District 2) race is non-partisan. This means that even though a candidate may be endorsed and supported by a political party, the party name will not be stated on the ballot.
