The Toledo School Board is made up of five seats. Those elected to the seats serve four-year terms. Two of those seats are up for election in 2023, which means voters can vote for up to two candidates on the ballot. The remaining three seats are up for election in 2025. Their responsibilities include reviewing and approving the Toledo Public Schools system’s budget and reviewing and approving union contracts with the teachers.
Like all city-wide elected offices, the Toledo School Board race is non-partisan. This means that even though a candidate may be endorsed and supported by a political party, the party name will not be stated on the ballot.
